Anyone remember the track I Hurt Myself, a rather nice balad that is circulating from a Revolution era rehearsal (1983-85 I think)? I'd forgotten all about it, but when it popped back into my brain I thought "I don't remember ever reading anything about it". Does anyone know any more information about it i.e. is it a P original, a cover or when it was performed?

Are you sure about the title?
I've never heard of it, and there is nothing listed in Turn It Up 2.0 about it.

It's a cover. The real title of the song is "Baby Baby Baby". I don't know who wrote it, but it was performed by Aretha Franklin during her years at Atlantic Records.
I think Prince did the song during a rehearsal and that rehearsel appeared on a bootleg. The makers of the bootleg probably did not know that is was a cover and gave it the title "I Hurt Myself".

So, this must be a different song than Prince's 'Baby, Baby, Bay' then.
