I'm hypin' the room for the coming Hall of Fame show, I played DMSR and I could hear some of the 20something crowd trying to figure out who it was! They really liked it though..Also did a mix of Nasty Girl/Slave 4U and then Erotic City/the Way You Move which was another crowd pleaser. I always try to play an Outkast song next to a Prince song so the yungins can see the connection and not think I'm just an old fart playing my stuff.

The most surprising hit of the night was Michael Jackson's "Baby Be Mine" I have never heard this in a club before, (so I played it) and I think it is a lost classic and highly underrated, but also underplayed, so it's still fresh.. Quincy Jones' production still sounds awesome, I think "Off the Wall" is one of his best songs as well. It's tough not to have a good time when Michael's background vocals fill the room "leave that 9-5...'

Next week I'm pullin out the big guns...Controversy, Computer Blue and a little Head!

i'm a dj too!! last nite this retaraunt/bar and music I went to had a dj playin an 80's set. A lotta good ole prince tunes and even some sheila e glamorous life cuts !
