I know what you mean Doozer. I just saw on the DTT the other day he whispers "Starvation" right before the end of Mountains. I had never noticed that before, and I've listened to that song a lot over the last 18 years. It's amazing, and a testament to the quality of the work, that we can listen to those albums almost 20 years later and still find something new.

I've ALWAYS heard him say that, but never knew the word he was saying was "starvation." Just listened to it. Way cool.

Oh by the way crank up the telephone conversations on thr Symbol album and you can here all sorts - Prince repeating teh interviewers words, him saying "scandalous" when she says about Maytes age - theres loads in there

one more thing - at the risk of sounding like so many other people on many other threads....do you not notice that all of these examples are from "back-in-the-day"....he doesnt have that attention to detail anymore (I hope Musicology really does go back to his roots)

Ok, it's not a hidden message but I love it at the beginning of the demo version of GIRLS & BOYS and u can hear Wendy getting annoyed in the atudio and she says "Fot Gods sake!!!!!"

Its not exactly hidden, but you can hear a voice at the beginning of "Chaos & Disorder" that sounds a heck of a lot like Beavis say "Heh heh, cool! Roll it!"

On "Take me with u", just before he starts to sing you can hear Prince whisper "Shit". It is on the 45 like that too. I assume it was played on the radio too. I noticed it while I had my headphones on one time way back in 1984.

The "sacred place" seems to be a woman's heart/affections. The song seems to me to be about fighting over a woman and being afraid you'll lose her to your rival.

This is basically the plot of GB as Morris and Prince fight over Ingrid.
