Do u think prince has dried up?

I dont know wot 2 think, cos he used to bring out a really gud album, then an ok one in between, then another gud one, but now he aint appeared to have done anything that makes me think "thats gonna be a hit"
I think the key to getting a num1 song now is to just have a catchy line, or catchy part to a song, (people like sugar babes stealing the charts, i cant belive that!!!) but i cant see any songs that prince is creating going 2 number one. his songs r too sounds, there is nothin wrong with them, there is no flaws, but i think that is the main problem, his old stuff had really gud bits, and bad bits, but now his music is "ok"
Im not saying its bad, im just saying, i dont think prince will get a no1 from his album at all. neutral

Is it important to you that Prince gets a no.1 single? And if so, why?

A song doesn't have to be "good" to be a hit. Just look at your top 10 right now. Prince never has , even when being accused of copying trends, sounded like anyone else. So you are not gonna hear a new Prince song and think "damn that sounds like a hit to me." That is because he ain't making the flavor of the month sound-he's makin' the MPLS sound.

c'mon guys.
i think he meant there won't be any new hit singles from prince's latest album.
i happen to agree. again prince's hardcore fan base will the majority number of buying his latest album including myself.
at this point i dont know if prince can come up with any new hits or he dont care about putting out any new hits. maybe both?
it's frustrating as a prince's fan who wants to see him making some mega hits and increase his fan base to showcase his incredible musical talents.
