I like the band as it is right now, but I would like a less prominent role for the horn section. There are too much horn solo's lately. And in the old songs where the synths were used as horns I would like to hear the synths only and not combined with the horns.

But these are just minor comments, I am very pleased with Prince's overall sound at the moment. I just love the soulful funky/jazzy side of Prince!
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Mix the Revolution with the Lovesexy band. Get back the members from Prince's greatest years.

I agree. And who said dancers? LEAVE THEM OUT!! They distract from the show and I always thought they were terribly annoying.

But the vibe he had with those two bands was way better than the lack of chemistry between the bandmates he has now. They (Rev & LS) were more like family - the more recent bands were like business associates.

Feel me?

Maybe i should leave the current horn section and keyboard players. But i should definitely bring back Mike Scott, Sonny T., Michael B. and Levi Seacer Jr.

fauxnewbie

Who's that little gay-looking one always prancing around up front? I'd get rid of him.

I'd like to see Prince do an 'unplugged' type show with an all-female backing band.

Wendy - guitars
Lisa - keyboards
Sheila - drums
Rhonda - bass
Prince - whatever

That'd be cool. nod

With Larry Graham on the Spoons.

Actually you'd have to bring back the Fink and Dez.

Not bothered about the rest, but i'd love to see that.

I'd get rid of the current line-up and replace with the following :

Drums : John Bonham
Bass : Phil Lynott
Guitar : Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Buckley
Keyboards : John Cage
Hornz : Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Benny Goodman
Backing Vox : Edith Piaf and Bonny Boyer.

There's a line-up that would be dead on it.
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

True, true. Maybe Prince could give him one of the clothes-change slots to do his thing. Of course he could always do backing vox with the girls.
