17-days is in my top 10 of fave Prince songs. No contest! By the way, anyone hear Living Colour's version? Justice!  Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way. | |

I recall on the Purple Rain Tour in '84 he would play a "soundcheck" type song before the curtain would go up - even though they already did a soundcheck before the doors even opened. I saw him twice on that tour and one night they did "17 Days" with the lights still up but the curtain down. When he "really" began the show about 15 minutes later with "Let's Go Crazy" the crowd was already in a frenzy!
So, "17 Days" gets my vote. | |

i wonder if some of you quick to say 17 Days is better are the same ones denying the impact of Wendy & Lisa's involvement. however, the comparison of these songs is a bit silly, imo. 200 Balloons is more like a mish-mash remix, where 17 Days is an actual structured song. the only thing worth comparing would be the song titles themselves. that being said, 17 Days also a better title. sorry! too much coffee this mo'nin'!!!
