No passion for Prince

One touch of the hand is all Mel Gibson seemed to want from Prince. Taking a seat in the chair to chat with Jay Leno on Thursday's "Tonight Show," Symbolina playfully touched Gibson's hand. The second time Prince reached for him, Gibson seemed to pull his hand away. Mel also seemed to sit farther away on the couch when Prince first sat down. It's not surprising that Mel's uncomfortable around guys who are comfortable with their feminine side. Prince was funny; Mel just had funny looks on his face. "You wanna go check out a movie?" Prince said to Mel. Asked how he felt about being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Prince said: "I think I'm supposed to feel old. It's an honor." On his next tour, allegedly his last, Symbolina will perform in the round. That, say neighbors of Paisley Park, explains that structure on the grounds there. "Real intimate setting, chill like this, carpeted and couches. The cool thing about being in the round, I did it in '88, every seat is a good seat." Not when performers have their backs to you. "Now, is this really the last time, or like a Cher last time?" Jay asked. "I've been going like 20 years; now I need to make some room for some other stuff," Prince said. Like procreating? Prince also made it sound as though he won't be playing "Purple Rain" as an encore.
