The remix Album

I've just returned from an hour's lunch, listening to 'Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic' - DON'T flame me! - and it just occurred to me...

Prince obviously thought that project deserved the accompanying 'Rave In2...' remix album; if you had to choose one album that got the remix treatment, which one would you choose???

I'll go for... Parade.

(Erm. or maybe Lovesexy!).

As much as I'd LOVE to hear a 'Lovesexy' remix album, I can't IMAGINE where they'd start! It's so dense, chaotic (in a good way) and complex...

Imagine Prince handing you THOSE tapes! omfg

I'd like 2 have sumthing like:

The Gold X-perience Pt. II - Including remixes and live versions of TGE tracks, plus 2 previously unreleased trax: Days O' Wild and Acknowledge Me!

Was the remix album an official release? I'd love to hear it.

I vote for Purple Rain. It's probably the album I've heard most and to hear new/fresher versions of these songs would be a welcomed change.

The Rainbow Children
None of this cd got any remix treatment.
A remixed TRC could be insane!!!

Apparently the remix album is very good. I had not liked Rave so much that I certainly didn't even think about the remix album. I have been told otherwise by 2 other people. So I think I may check it out.

Hmmm...an album to remix? Yeah Lovesexy is way too complicated and dense. 1999 was a remix album to begin with... I think "Come" would be very good to remix. I have heard a cool remix of Come already and I certainly think Loose would get a better treatment.

I think Rave in2 is better than Rave un2 because the latter was poor.

So on that basis, i'd say NPS. Get rid of a couple of the tunes, put some better tunes on & a remixed TGRES and Push it up...etc

The idea of a remixed parade or something scares me... confused
