Why are PRINCE Fans so focused on whether PRINCE will sell out his arena size tour, other than being happy that he's Touring again?

I find it very immature, that people on the org! are so worried about PRINCE selling tickets, other than buying their tickets and being happy to attend the Musicology shows.

Everyone worried about this, except the artist whose playing these shows...why?
As an artist, he will sell a great deal of records and sometime he won't!
As an artist, he will sell out some shows and others he won't!

So whats the big deal?
PRINCE will do what he wants and why is it such a big issue of concern for us as fans whether or not he packs the 10,000-20,000 seaters on this north american show?

I'm not worried or concerned, obviously he will sell a great deal of tickets and records for this tour!

Well, for one you can often end up with a better atmosphere in a small, packed joint than you can in an arena with a load of empty seats.

Second, if you're in an arena with empty seats in front of you, it is bloody annoying.

Third, i'm concerned for the fella. The press always reports on empty seats.

Fourth, i'm tired and fed up of work.

Why are Prince fans....

so prone to generalize about what other Prince fans think?

I am finding it amusing though that there's so much negativity right now on this site. With all the positive press Prince is getting right now, I'd have thought that this site would be doing cartwheels.

ive been on the org 4 just about 3 years, lurkin , then postin,. the 1 thing which keeps cropping up is peeps wantin, prince re-uniting with wendy and lisa, now if this happens there will b threads poppin up all over here on why.....

Right On! I agree. I've been lurking here for the last week or so, and have been astonished by the amount of negative energy in some of the posts. Frankly I'm amazed that some of you even call yourselves fans, as you seem to hate everything that Prince does! Surely there is enough greatness in this man's career (particularly NOW) that we can celebrate - is all the negativity necessary?

I'm a fan, but there are things I don't like and I will not hesitate to say what they are when the issue arises...
