When Prince was touring summer 2002 with TRC, I saw some over-head photos that clearly showed some thinning of the hair in the top/crown of his head. Unfortunately I don't have those pics though, but perhaps someone else saw the same ones?

I'm not sure if it's a wig, but I will say this, watch the Same December video. There's two versions, the very first one when he lays his head on the table after signing the contract you can see an obvious spot. Then when the second version came out....bald spot gone. It was so obvious that a friend of mine (what up Mrs. Wellington) busted out laughing in the NPG store viewing room and got a dirty look from the worker.

why would he get a wig? he can afford implants, i'm sure...

You guys are funny, who is the idiot to say we should stop conjecturing? That's why we're here, we have an interest in Prince and his life. We been with him for years. No it's not a big deal if he's losing his hair but being as we love the guy and like knowing about him we want to know if he is awkwardly taking a blow to his vanity. If he was ugly or macho it wouldn't matter so much but he's a beautiful man and he knows it, and we have to wonder what goes through his mind when he realizes he's not what he once was. Makes him human, like us.
