Oh my goodness!!!! I heard this one a few days ago.....and it is OFF DA CHAINS.....This one SURELY need to be heard. Now I think some of his Madhouse stuff was ok....I even think N.E.W.S. was ok..but I really think THIS ONE is better than ANY other that stuff.

I think LIL MAN and the NPG recorded this on the day after or the same day that Miles left us. What a tribute and what a song.!!!

One thing I love about it is the fact it has one element that alot of his other "jazz like" stuff doesn't have...IT SWINGS hard...I'm assuming that it is Prince that is playing the bass on that track..and it is a tremendously great bass riff. This groove swings hard(like the best uptempo jazz always does).

Plus he lays down a nice piano solo. From a improvisational standpoint..it is splendid!!!!!

Maybe he should have put this on a B-side or something because it is awesome, to good to be sitting up in the vault.....The musicality of this vault gem is good. Now I'm A HUGE JAZZ FAN and I know good jazz when I hear it..and this one is definitely one of the best, if not the best of his "jazz stuff".

I'm not a huge big fan of alot of his unreleased stuff I've heard thus far, give or take a few songs...But this one is grade A!!!!!

Letter 4 Miles is indeed a great track.

I really love it too. I created a CD with this track and other jazz oriented cuts like the jazz version of "ballad of dorthy Parker", hope u have heard that version.
