Celebration 2004: What do you think? Apologies if this subject has been discussed (too much) already elsewhere, but I was thinking today...with all the excitement of the upcoming tour/CD, Prince's TV appearances, his reunion with Wendy, rumors about a Revolution reunion, the Purple Rain 20 year anniversary, etc., I wonder what are the chances of a Celebration happening this year?
Maybe with all else Prince has going on this year it wouldn't be feasible to hold one, but I think in light of all the exciting things happening for Prince at the moment, combined with the PR nostalgia, a Celebration this particular year would be INCREDIBLE. I attended the 2002 Celebration and had the best time of my life. I'm crossing my fingers there will be another Celebration again someday and 2004 sounds like a good year to me. 
I was curious about what all of you think. What are your opinions on the chance of a Celebration happening this year? Good? Bad? And if there is one, who should Prince invite to perform? I would just like there to *be* a Celebration at Paisley Park this year, no matter who Prince might get to play for it.
Hopefully he is more inclined this year than last to hold one again. | |
