Rainbow Children... still rising? So it seems that a new album is coming out in a couple of months... All the while I'm still listening to TRC on a regular basis... it's still kinda fresh to me after 2+ years... could this be the sign of a classic album? What u think?

It seems like there's always something new to discover with this album. What makes it so great for me is that not only is there great music but it's like a movie and story at the same time. Definately a classic in my eyes
I've listened to it so many times, dancing to 1+1+1=3 and all, and I still don't feel like I've exhausted what it has to offer. The only bad part is that it's hard to recommend to my friends because of THAT voice. Not that it bothers me, but you have to be really open-minded to get past that if you're not a huge Prince fan. I totally agree about the voice thing. The average music listener hears that voice and immediately just thinks "WTF?".
As long as you're really open minded to experimentation like that, it's a great album. 1+1+1=3 is funky as all hell, Sensual Everafter is simply gorgeous, She Loves Me 4 Me is very simple and sweet, and Last December is a great epic. Very underappreciated Prince album imo. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

The only P albums that compare are TGE, Purple Rain, SOTT, and 1999-- for different reasons of course.
