Long time P fan here. Never posted before, but lurked for a long time!

I've been very disillusioned with p's music and the whole npgmusicclub thing. But, I saw him for the first time Brisbane (and the aftershow), never thought it would be possible (at which he played Musicology live). So I thought, I'd give him another go.

I've listened very closely (as you all have) to his older music and it never ceases to amaze me. It has a level of subtley that is uncanny (you know - hidden/double/triple meaning etc).

Well I have to admit that this just takes the cake. I wondered what those samples were for (and that they were all in the same key - if they had just been random then I would've just tought that is interesting but . . . (like so much else over the da club)).

And maybe this is jumping the gun a bit, but could it signal something bigger in the way he is heading at the moment - could it mean that he will actually be listening to the fans. Could it signal more participation - giving the fans what they want to hear and letting them be involved. Seems his concerts are heading that way.

I have to admit now I'm excited. P can still surprise me (I thought he didn't have it in him anymore). This is a good feeling. Now I remember why I'm a fan (not fam).

Dude hate to tell you this, but this is old news. This was pointed out a while ago by folks who've heard the song live.

I guess I, and a whole bunch of other people, missed those threads. None of the threads I read asking "What is Musicology" and "What does it sound like" ever referenced NPGMC. Oh well, I can't rephrase my subject to "I feel stupid for not putting two and two together" I remember clicking on the instruments about a year ago and wondering where some of the riffs were from. I thought (back then) that the guitar was a sample from "Batdance". Anyway Musicology sounds pretty cool and the video clip looks like some money, time and effort were put into it. I wish Prince the best of luck with this project.
