Van Gogh vs. Baby Go-go... I'm digging these two gems at the moment. In fact, I'm digging a ton of his stuff right now that has reawakened me and reinterested me. I'm a fan again after years of choosing not to listen. One technique I use when relistening to old material is to concentrate not on the initial beatscape, but on the secondary or tertiary and it really creates a new soundscape, especially with this master who wound/winds multilayers of sound into a particular track. Anybody else do that?
Anyway, here's what's on my latest CD if you care: 1. She's Always in My Hair (new mix) 2. Van Gogh 3. Empty Room 4. Allegiance 5. Extralovable 6. Lisa 7. 17 Days (Hawaii 97) 8. Love Sign (Shock G remix) 9. Electric Intercourse (1st Ave.) 10. 100 mph 11. Climax 12. Tell Me How You Wanna B Done 13. Calhoun Square 14. Erotic City (17 Days Live) 15. Computer Blue (extended) 16. Blue Limousine Tell me that ain't SLAMMIN'. | |
