Maybe some people are just trying to be positive?? Trying to counter some of the piles of criticism & general meanness around here?

I don't believe people when they say they like *everything* Prince has recorded, ("I'm just thankful for what we get yadda, yadda, yadda") - To me that is tantamount to having no opinion at all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well there are people who are strong with HYPE others strong with DISSING.
My guess is to accept both and try to balance that a little. "Goodness will guide us when love is inside of us... The Force will be with you, always"

Hmmmmm.
Well, I'm quite heavily into Prince. As well as all the usual gubbins, "Batman" was my first Prince album and got me started. I find "Wedding Feast" funny. "TRC" is my joint favourite Prince album along with "Purple Rain". I'm a member of the NPGMC and occasionaly post there. I enjoy "Chaos & Disorder". I like most of "Emancipation". I was surprised to find "Animal Kingdom" was the subject of ridicule. I don't mind Tony M (God, that was hard to admit, there's such an atmosphere of Tonyphobia on the org). In fact, I only draw the line at "New Power Soul", which I find a bit boring. However, offset this with my 1,000+ album collection. My love of all kinds of music (overground and underground) from avant garde to pop, dance to rock, classical to metal. 14 years of solid gig-going, clubbing and festivaling, blah, blah, blah. So, I do love almost every single thing he does but it's not an uneducated opinion. I know my music, it's become my job & it's won me plenty of prizes & competitions over the years. What I'm getting at is, does I count as a 'fam'? I personaly was pleased to see him at a high-profile again from the Grammys. Sure, not his finest TV appearance. I don't think Beyonce's voice lent itself too well to his stuff but she sure looked fine! I was excited about seeing it and not too dissapointed. People wee through my letterbox, laugh at my dog & my kids get picked on at school. I might have to "CALL THE LAW" "You know, you're the classic example of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain"

The answer's in the song:- Mack Daddy in the house over there [a definite reference to you in your property in Almondbury] What u doin' Dawg? [He's obviously quoting you talking to Mutley] "Gettin' busy G kickin' the jughead" [speaks for itself really] "You know, you're the classic example of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain"

I hate myself for loving Prince but I love rock 'n' roll. And I don't give a damn about my bad reputation.
Why am I all of a sudden in the mood to listen to some Joan Jett?
