I don't like Insatiable, I Love U In Me, or The Arms of Orion, but someway, somehow, I love, love, love Scandalous.

Whether it's the album version, which, followed by Batdance, makes me disappear into fantasies of passionate summer evenings with Jack Nicholson in full Joker make up (This deadly combination makes him the current front runner on my "Men I would be gay for" list.), or the sex suite that I will probably never use for it's intended purpose, I just can't get enough of this song. I think it's the best slow ballad Prince ever did.

So, do any of you guys love Scandalous the way I do?

I absolutely love Scandalous, the words, the music, the every-damn-thing!!!

Whilst I do love "I love U In Me" I agree that Scandalous beats all the other fuck ballads of its era.

In my eyes, Prince went though a 10 year stretch where the "fuck ballad" (A title use to differenciate between the likes of "Scandalous" and "Snows in April") became a bit samely.

one of the most beautiful ballads ever...to answer ChadNPG, I'll bet that song brought a lot of little babies to the world...

The music is so...so...I can't describe it...so romantic, so...Valentino...Prince's vocals, are like a sultan..."come...closer"...who's messing with that? cmon now...

I love Scandalous, especially in the Sex Suite when he says "baby", and then his voice gets super low for the last "baby". And when he goes into his "talk to me" ooh do I love that. I'm pretty much a goner at that point. And no, I have never used this single for it's intended purpose either. Something about Kim Basinger saying, "Which one?" when Prince says, "Give me your hand," well, it makes my mind flacid.

Ballads, I typically don't like 'em. If I were to make a mix of my fav-o-rite Prince ditties, I don't think I'd include many ballads. Scandalous, Pink Cashmere, Forever In My Life. Adore is my absolute all time favorite. I don't really gett off on Prince falsetto. And the ballads I do like, are about God, not about women.
