Does anyone know where I can see a sample of Prince's handwriting? I was watching TV a few years ago and they did a story on remarkable celebrity interactions with fans and Prince wrote a handwritten letter to one of his female fans back in the 80s and he had very pretty handwriting. Does anyone know what I'm talking about.

The only example I have seen was from the Controversy fanzine when he wrote that little note to Eileen Murton about Scarlet Pussy writing "Green virgin teenager or filthy rich yuppie?". It was standard script writing nothing too fancy. I think the CD-ROM of pdf files that comes with Days of Wild (from Uptown Publications) has some stuff with his writing on too.

His normal handwriting ir very rounded.

I have this pic of him from Interview magazine (black outfit, police hat and black glasses, if I remember rightly) that had the hand written lyrics of Sex printed around it.

On the vinyl album of Parade he scribbled something on the fold out sleeve. Love God or sumthing.

That's quite close to his handwriting.

His Handwriting is beautiful. I did a graphology report on Musicians handwriting last year. His and hendrix are strikingly similar and flowing.

check his signiture onhis WB contract.

The "Gett-Off" maxi has his handwriting--I think it's *all* his handwriting.

his cursive handwriting is pretty damned smoove...at the hard rock cafe here in mpls there's this big display of p memorabilia. among the stuff is a framed letter that p wrote back to a fan, circa pr (i think).

actually, his cursive is eerily similar to my sister's.

I saw a letter he suppsosedly wrote about bootlegs on a site about bootlegs.Not sure if it's authentic.I'm not gonna post the link here cuz of all the recent drama about bootleg sites.PP police may be lurking..

I have seen something in the mpls Hard Rock Cafe. There 2 different writings. One may be exactly from him, one looks totallytotally different. One was a song called "Maybe" which started off with some good lyrics. The handwriting is done on purple pen and is not all pretty or anything.

The other is a written letter to some1 talking about "if u think u liked my music then u r going to love the movie.." and stuff. That handwriting is superb, but i dont think he wrote it himself. Although he did draw on the envelope.

I saw another picture where he drew his coat for the 1999 era, all scratchy and rushed, so i dont know what 2 think.

This is a recent sample of Prince's handwriting.
It shows an early version of his idea for an NPGMC catchphrase.

I am surprised no one mentioned the Purple Rain Tour Program. There is a letter (not really) it's the lyrics to ATWIAD. That is a good example of his script.
