If you had to chose one which song would you want him to do???

I see a great Guitar Solo! Anything where he can play live and some amazing Guitar!

Prince playing Guitar for the mainstream public is the #1 Way he will be talked about and get a push again! NO ONW Plays Guitar like Prince

Every friend I have that is not a real huge Prince fan.. they think he is just ok.. well whenever I play a song where he jams the guitar!! They say He should do that more & please tell me all the new songs he plays amazing guitar licks like that!

If I had to chose something else that a little more edgey (((EAST)))

I hope he plays North but I am guessing he would do a medley of them all.

North or West they are my 2 favs

He probably won't be able to play a full version of anything off of N.E.W.S, but if he played the last 6 minutes of West with the awesome guitar/piano part that'd be pretty cool.

OR, he could re-release N.E.W.S with Ronnie Talk to Russia as a bonus track, and then play that.

East truncated, no questions asked.

I'd gag for East in2 South. The funk is South even got my Prince-detesting friends bopping...

you guys are effin` gay.if he plays anything off NEWS he will lose the crowd(and i love news).
he will play about half of "let`s go crazy"to get the crowd pumped and then a full jam of "musicology".hit em with the old to make them remember how you once kicked ass,then hit em with something new(even though i`ve never heard musicology,most reports say it jams live).

I'm sure that they only let him play if he promised to play something from the Hits' collection, perhaps mixed with Musicology in a medley. I would bet money that a song from Purple Rain will make at least a short appearance.

He will certainly play something from NEWS the very thing he wins the grammy for - did I say win, sorry I meant nominated - West or south, West into South or a bit of everything. It would be great if he gets to sing too, just so everyone doesn't thing he's only into instrumentals now!

I was thinking about this yesterday...he could open with the beginning of South...it is funky...and it would let him show people he can play the bass...then, he could let Rhonda play bass, and he pick up the guitar, and blow into something (anything) that would let him light up a master solo. I think he wants to show people his music abilities as much as his hit-making ability.

Just a thought.

East - no doubt about it.

I'm sure many people would want to see him play anything but 'N.E.W.S.' but, considering he's up for the Grammy because of it, it makes sense to play one of the tracks.

And, 'East', I hope it is.

I'd much prefer it if he didn't though.

Prince isn't going to waste this opportunity to play something off NEWS. I don't think Prince expected a Grammy nod for this CD, and he's hardly interested in promoting it. NEWS has a limited audience, and he's going to want to surprise, delight and WOW the audience, not put them to sleep. My bet is we'll all be surprised at what song he picks.
