Of sorts.

I collect album releases, and I did collect CD single releases, of which I have all of them, plus some promos and stuff, upto 1999 when I lost interest.

I collect Sheila E. vinyl and CDs, and I have all the related artists albums stuff on either vinyl or CD and a fair bunch of single - I'm more bothered about filling in those gaps than I am about filling in any gaps in my Prince vinyl collection, of which I have only the 12" singles from Purple Rain to Batman, plus a few stray 7" and picture discs here and there.

It's difficult to find stuff by the Time or Sheila E, etc, in 'Excellent+' quality at a reasonable price these days, so I kind of lost interest - I have everything on vinyl, and the few songs I don't have, I have on mp3, so I'm not missing much other than the pedantic orgasm of a nerdish collector.

Anxiety

If something looks cool, Prince, Prince protegee or not, chances are I will at the very least drool over it, if not hunt it down and purchase it. I've gotten a little more conservative about my "collector" habit over the years - I don't like buying lots of tchotchkes that I'll just have to worry about and move around, but if some cool collector's edition has new music on it, more often than not, I'm all over it.

Nah I mostly just want every bit of Prince music I can get my hands on.

Maybe the odd time I'll be willing to check out Sheila's stuff, but that's about it.

I have tons of Prince related artists music, including but not limited to (I'm doing this off the top of my head):

Jill Jones
Brown Mark
Ingred Chavez
Carmen Elektra
Andre Cymone
Madhouse
TC Ellis
Mazarati
Good Question
Shelia E
The Time
Morris Day
Jesse Johnson
Tyka Nelson
Rosie Gaines
The Family
Tevin Campbell
Vanity
Apollonia
Wendy and Lisa

I'm sure there is more not coming to me.

I also have a ton of Prince remakes and songs that sample Prince tunes.

I also have over 1,000 albums
1,000 12" mixes
2,000 45's
10,000 CD's

I collect more than just Prince music, I am a fan of all genres, it just happens that I am a Prince fan first!

Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.
