It's also 5 years to the day since GCS2000!!! Celebrate! It's no longer a 'recent' Prince project!!! I could come up with 100 things I don't like about this album, but amidst the Kirky J plastic drums and Village People-looking packaging, there are a few great funk tunes:
Free, Love 4 1 Another, and Groove On are amongst the best tracks Prince worked on during that time. Utopia's not bad either. Overall, though, the best thing about this album is that it may have got some of Larry out of Prince's system, so to speak. That was early '99. Apart from Rave Un2 The Yea 2000, I think he's only made short guest appearances at shows since then, right? And it's been 5 years now - it's unlikely we'll get another GCS album from Paisley Park soon. | |

Celebrate indeed!
I think this album will be playing on loop on the elevator down to Hell. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hell, it's MUCH better than the 1999 New Master!!! MUCH MUCH better. Free, Love41Another, whatever the first song is called, and EYEMAGETTIN' are the essential trax offa here... No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
