I Wonder U
This song has always been brilliant. Many musicians love the Parade album because if you look at it as a whole, you really can't categorize the music. Wendy Melvoin once said that she felt it represented him the best as a musician (well, up to that point). Jill Scott also cites it as her favorite P record.

Kind of like Tangerine. I understand what you're saying, but I have to disagree on this one. For example, I agree with that method on a song like "Little Wing" - the song is less than 2 1/2 minutes. But as great as Stevie Ray Vaughan was as a guitarist, his MUCH longer version doesn't compete with it to me. The longer piece introduces a completely different mood. Jimi's original doesn't leave me wanting more within the song, it just makes me want to play it over and over again. But with a song like "I Wonder U" there is something missing, to me. I thank God that I was able to see it performed live back in the day, Wendy looked so damn cool singing it centerstage too.

definitely top 10 p. songs for me. amazing flute-arangements. 100% wendy & lisa stylie. weird arangements like this pop up on their 'eroica' album as well; talkin' bout under-rated

Very good song. Has a jazzy, psychedelic purple funk to it. I don't think he could create that kinda sound anymore, especially since Wendy and Lisa are not with him. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

I wish there were a bit longer versions of those first three tracks of the Parade album.
I just love them. And also they way he actually recorded those drumtracks all at once, and all by himself. He just knew how they were going to sound like.. unbelievable! Genius. Iwish Prince would drum more. It doesn't matter how good or bad as a drummer he is. I just love his wild and funky playin' like in "Tambourine". He's absolutely uncomparable. I don't like the nowadays perfect drumsound.
