So I got the Houston, '81 show from my fairy Org-mother

Also on that tape was the First Ave.,'83 show, but I will get to that another time. The Houston 81 show is on my mind right now. It was just awesome, that's all I got to say. That was the Prince that I loved. That pint-sized purveyor of the sex/funk/rock/soul. That lil' freak with the Honer he used to persoify his dick. The Pre-Revolution kicked so much booty! on funky ass jams like "Controversy" & "Head" and rocked out on "Dirty Mind" & "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?". The production was a lil' dated, though. It definitely sounded like 1981, and I felt like I was in that time as I was watching it. But this was the show that proved that this Prince cat was gonna be the saviour of Soul and Rock. He could rock it like no other. I and many other have said this time and time again, but I wish he could still rock out and be the badass that he once was. But I guess that's apart of growing up.

I feel I should express some solace for those who have not seen this. It's an awesome concert, it really is. If you can afford to someway, somehow, you should definitely check this out. If not,...shrug

See, I said that quote because I knew there were some folks that have not seen this before. It's like, people talk about certain Prince things that they have or have seen, but it just make the other peole who have not experience those things feel bad.

I just realized something: This particular show was on 12/9/81. That was the very day my brother was born. Cool. smile
