Baldness is not typically hereditary from the father it is from the mothers side. So was Prince's grandpa (on his mom's side) bald? "New Power slide...." | |

it's usually said that the hairline comes from the mother's side.

Hair loss is hereditary but its random ,so it could come from your mam or dads side ,it could skip generations or it may not. | |

It's from the maternal grandfather, usually. My dad and I both are bald, but our patterns (or patches, if you will  ) differ. My baldness (if I were to let my hair actually grow in) would be JUST LIKE that of my maternal grandfather.
