But when the night falls and a bomb falls will anybody see the dawn? There is a distinct tremor in his voice at the start of the line that sounds as if he's having a laugh to himself over the line and it's significance.  and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

True. That's what it sounds like. I was just high on too much caffeine and cigarettes this afternoon and decided there had to be a deeper meaning. As in: Prince will just laugh at the bomb falling and the coming of the four horsemen of the apocalypse since he rests assured in the knowledge that he will be able to lay righteous claim on a place near his god.  and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |
