dance song in UK rips off Oh Sheila?

there is a dance song in the UK at the moment, its literally just been played on radio 1 mark and lard, and its by angel somethign or someother and the song is called "love me right". anyway everytime it plays i start going oh, oh sheila, and the rhythm is almost identical and the woman singing sounds like she is copying sheila e totally.

anyone else heard this song or know more about it?!

You do realize that the song "Oh sheila" has absolutely nothing to do with Prince right? He didn't write it and he didn't sing it and neither did Sheila E.

When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

I've heard it and it's like having a dead herring shoved in my ear.

i think softandwet has the minnesota part right.

both the jets and ready for the world have that prince sound. and since they popped onto the scene during p's 1999/purple rain era (when all eyes were watching), i'd say he has something to do with their success.

but that's just my twocents

I think the song you're commenting on is called "Oh, Baby" by San Francisco's RaSoul. Released in the UK on Hooj Choons. If not, it's worth checking out..

It's smokin' thumbs up!

Anyone remember when Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam came out with "Wonder If I Take U Home"

And then Ready For The World did "Oh, Sheila"

Really made u wonder if they were in Prince's camp.

Thats how much influence Prince had post Purple Rain.

By the was I have a Ultimix or is it Hottracks? remix of Oh Sheila and it samples Glamorous Life drums. Fab Mix I must say~
