On the track SOTT where he says:
"In September my cousin tried reefer for the very first time, now he's doing horse. It's June" This line conjures up so many images and describes major issues being faced at that time. Pure Genious!!! --------------------------------------------------

Where he lets rip at the end of 'The Beautiful Ones' - a crescendo of heartaching screams. Awesome.
I gotta agree with this, that part really touches me. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

turn the volume up to maximum to be able to enjoy it in all it's mindblowing glory. It's as if the music up until then has been a mirror kind of surface and all of a sudden, this huge bubble of air rises up from underneath it and lifts the waterline through which it breaks upward. Beeds of water drip down the bubble as it slowly manages to lift itself from the water and up up up skyward. THÁT's what those last few seconds of that song sound like. Go listen to it.. now. NOW!!! feel ya, it's short but beautiful, very Lovesexyish.

Currently it's the growling guitar solo on the song Lovesexy which starts at about the 3 minute mark. Anyone else know what I mean?

Way too many, but...
1) The beginning of 17 Days 2) AnotherLover during the televised Parade gig when they sing the line "you don't understand face to face" 3) The end of Shockadelica 4) Hearing the opening beats on Sign O The Times for the first time 5) "Guitars and Drums on the one" during Mountains 6) The last sung lines on 7 7) The crazy bit toward the end of Crystal Ball where the strings come in loud 8) The start of Joy in Repetition

Wow, the moments mentioned about "Anotherlover..." and "Mountains" brought back a lot of cool moments from Parade. Same goes for SOTT-era stuff.
So, I'm gonna have to just say: 2:43.5 to 2:53.5 from the Crystall Ball version of "The Ride." Prince is kicking major tail during that whole solo, but especially the runs in that passage. Love the descending scale toward the end 2:53. *sigh*

I can't believe I didn't think of this last night when I posted, but any 10 seconds of the last part of Ana Stesia when that "Love is God, God is love" line keeps getting repeated. So much heart in that part. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

IMHO, the single greatest moment of P's career was the 1st guitar solo on ICNTTPOYM in the Sign O' The Times movie. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

This is an easy one for me.
Anna Stesia's: "...save me Jesus, I've been a fool. How could I forget that U are the rule? U are my God, I am Your child. From now on, 4 U I shall be wild; I shall be quick, I shall be strong. I'll tell Your story, no matter how long (no matter how... no matter) We're just a play in Your master plan; Now, my Lord I understand. I understand..."

There are too many songs, movies, film clips to think about but one which comes to mind is the last 30 seconds of Sacrafice of Victor when everything comes to a masive climax.

Just remembered another bit - this thread should be plit in 2 though, best recorded and best live!
During the Lovesexy tour when the bass drum kicks in and your heart is pounding with it Prince cuts in "snare drums pound on the two and four, all the party people get on the floor...bass" In the distance a light shines and I know it is mine. Someday I will touch it because it calls me. It says cross the line, cross the line. I know everything is not always what it seems, so I pinch myself daily just in case it's a dream

To expound on those talking about Just My Imagination from the Camden Palace, I really love the part where he starts singing in falsetto "Was it you?"...it's about 4:09 into the song. I love that shit!!! Can someone get a time machine, go back and get that brotha, and bring him back here to 2003?? LOL!!

i can't stop listening to the hornz in the end of Billy Jack Bitch. Bril-li-ant. My best ten seconds ever... i like 'love is god-god is love-...' too. But there's a live version of anna stesia (had it on tape but lost it) that just keeps on going, with extatic guitarplaying. Anyone knows wich concert i'm talking about?

the beginning of "irrisistable bitch" where he says "turn the drums down..." you have to listen closely and with headphones to hear this but it shows the off the cuff nature in wich prince had when recording some of his most cherished jams.the engineer on this track was susan rogers so he was probally talking to her while doing an overdub, informing her that the drum track was too loud in his cans.this song was recorded september 15,1983.five days later he recorded the beautiful ones.studio:sunset sound,l.a
