What are all the known Madhouse tracks?

I have the albums 8 and 16, and most (if not all) of the 24 album(s) tracks listed in http://www.prince.org/msg/7/73757

What are the b-sides/remixes/other unreleased tracks by Madhouse?

From memory:

6 and a Half
8 and a Half (not sure if this is right)
10 (Perfect Mix) - is than an official mix or fan-made?
13 and a Quarter
13 (Perfect Mix) - is than an official mix or fan-made?

Any I've missed?

I can remember reading somewhere that there are three different 17s - the original, NPG and the version on 1-800-NEW-FUNK; can anyone confirm that the NPG and NEW-FUNK versions are the same?

'8 and a half' does not exist.

You might mean '10 and 1/2' which was an official release on single.

'10 (the perfect Mix)' was an official release - an alternative mix released on single.

13 (Perfect Mix) was not an official mix.

That's right - 10 and a 1/2 is the one I was thinking of!

(BTW, are all tracks titled as numbers or some as words?)

Thanks for your help! smile

The original track, '17 (Penetration)', was intended for the original Madhouse album, '24', from 1988. It was subsequently given to Miles Davis as 'Penetration', who re-recorded the tune and performed it live.

A second, different tune, originally known as 'Carnac', subsequently emerged on the '1-800 NEW FUNK' album as '17'.

I only have the official CDs in front of me now, but those tracks on '8' and '16' are listed as 'One', 'Two', 'Three' etc.. The '1-800 NEWFUNK' track is listed as '17' on the CD.

I don't have the vinyl to hand, but I note that 'Turn It Up 2.0', which follows the above convention, also lists the B-sides and alternative mixes in the following way:

'Six and 1/2'
'Ten and 1/2'
'Ten (The Perfect Mix)' - also known as '10 (The Perfect Mix)'
'Thirteen and 1/4'

It also lists one further officially released alternative version as:

'Thirteen (Paisley Park Mix)' - also known as '13 (Paisley Park Mix)'

Boris lists everything else, as far as I am aware, and as definitively as usual on the thread you mentioned here -
