Can anybody think of any songs which contain Prince samples?

I can only think of:

"Bad Young Brother" by Derek B.
Contains the "Oh yeah" from Sign O' Times, repeated over the chorus.

"Tennesee" by Arrested Development.
Contains the word "Tennesee" from Alphabet St.

"Southern Trees (12" Mix) by Sub Sub.
The whole song is underpinned by the string section from the end of Purple Rain, looped over and over again.

"Heaven Must Be Near" by Ingrid Chavez.
Contains the "clap your hands and stomp your feet" line from the intro to the Lovesexy album.

I was going to add "All That" by Carmen Electra but the backing music is basically an unreleased instrumental of Adore, rather than samples from the released song.

I read somewhere that LL Cool J sampled 'Irresistable Bitch'

There is a website, where u type in an artist name, and then it brings up a list of tracks of who has sampled that artist (I forget what the link is though).

I saw about 30 seconds of that song on tv over 10 years ago and always wondered who that was - So thankyou for clearing that up, I liked how they used the sample on that track

I know there's more but can't think of them.

I'm convinced that the entire Rainbow Children album is based on an old riff rejected from the Black album cos it wasn't funky enough.

I know I've heard a song sampling the guitar from Kiss but haven't a clue who or what it was.

its not really a sample, but that if "i was ur girlfriend" bit in me and my girlfriend, jay z i think

we sampled a bit of prince in one of our songs,that uggh bit from kiss in you get destroyed-Base Dynamics

Just to stir things up... Jump by House of Pain samples the opening scream from Gett Off! (Or does it?)

"Are U Wid It?" by M. Doc samples "I Wanna Be Your Lover".

"Beat Dis" by Bomb The Bass (1988) samples the "Shut Up" intro to "Housequake".

The Future Sound of London has a few samples through out the Accelerator (sp?) CD

DJ Cartoons samples a scream from Baby Im a Star in the song, I LIKE NOISE

There was a list of Prince samples in other people's songs posted here on the Org recently. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the thread, and the search engine doesn't search anymore. The samples are a longer list than most people realize.

'Pick up the pieces' by candy dulfer samples the scream from gett off all thru the song

'push the little daisies' by ween samples the NO from the start alphabet st

Bambi by TC Ellis makes good use of Prince's Bambi on the Pailey Park record

Digital Underground used a Madhouse sample for their b-side 'Hip hop doll' (flipside of Doowutchyalike)
