I love this movie but I could not help but cringe when P gets shot. The acting was crap.

No. Yoda's death scene was worse, or that Ewok that got shot on Endor.

I never liked the ending either.Here's how the movie should have ended...

***Mary agrees to run away with Christopher.But when he goes to get her,he sees her trying on her wedding dress,preparing to marry the other dude.A heartbroken Christopher goes back to Miami with Tricky.

***Mary surprises him in Miami,with the news that she DIDN'T get married after all,and that she is gonna stay in Miami with him.


yeah,I know it sounds like a predictable ending,but it would have been better than having Christopher get killed.And we would have been spared that embarassing death scene...lol

Damn, I guess I'm the only corny one - I love that movie - I cried at the end I thought it was so sad he had to die. I thought it was great love story. - lol

They would have yelled "Exterminate!!!" a thousand times, making it more dramatic.

However, in the theater, I was shocked to see him die.

however crappy the acting may be (agreed Jerome Benton is not that good as an actor in that scene) it still moves me. somehow the pace of the movie makes me feel quite upset when Christopher gets shot.

you know the movie HEAVENLY CREATURES ? same thing to me. the mother takes the girls for a walk and that last moment takes so long you get very nervous.

i love the last words though: "we had some fun didn't we"

My freind who isnt--err--wasnt a prince fan saw this movieonce a decade ago..and he stil clowns about that death scene--its the only thing he remembers from the movie.

I love Under The Cherry Moon.The scene where Prince is making out with Kristin Scott Thomas in the phone booth is just nasty.Nasty is a good thing sometimes The death scene is horrible.I laugh everytime I see it.

utcm death scene = worst. death scene. ever. i've never seen somebody 'die' so bad in a film. p looked as if he was either spazzin out or had got a sudden cramp when the gun went off.

that, and it was an immaculate scene...no blood on the cat's suit, just a small trickle outta his mouth. he lived and died lookin clean, that shit was ill.
