I can stomach most all of the Prince covers. A lot of them are over the top and kitsch, but I like that, it's Prince, you just expect the covers to be kind of tacky. Ones I particularly dig are Sign O The Times [outstandingly artsy for Prince] Parade [surprisingly stripped down and low key] Diamonds & Pearls [perhaps becuz it's blue] NEWS The Rainbow Children Ones I particularly hate are: The Vault [looks worst than the worst bootleg] The Gold Experience [looks horrible] That Gold Experience cover is just about the worst cover he could have allowed for that album. Just a plain gold cover with embossed-like letters stating o(+> and title would have done better than this weird mix of picture & horrible typescript. The back cover is kind of ok, but the front cover hinges somewhere between horrible and vomit inducing. I sooo hate that cover I can't even describe the way I loathed it when I first saw it in the shops. For such an audaciously trumpeted release it boasted the worst ever cover.
