If there's one Prince song which I could listen to forever and never get tired of, it's this. This song, imho, is one, if not THE greatest Prince song EVER!!!

Think about it, it has everything, the love song start, the guitar jamz, that middle - oooh! that middle - then the climatic end with the operatic voices and the whole build-up to the wind down.

This song is Great! I'll dig it 4eva, what do u guys think? This is my fav song atm.

What's SOTD? Is that the same as ACFS?

this is one of the most pretentious song Prince ever wrote...i don't say it has no musical quality but it's way too bombastic... very far from one of his best.

As to the "pretentious" remark: Someone posted a thread not too long ago that asked the question: "3 Chains O' Gold: genius or pretentious drivel?" The answer was easy: pretentious genius.

After ten years of hearing this song, I still don't get tired of it. With "And God Created Woman" and "Sacrifice of Victor" you get a deliciously rich and fatty three-course meal.

Yeah, the Love Symbol Album is one fat Thanksgiving Turkey on CD, with the juicy bits towards the end (see Prince's ass)

3 Chains of Gold is possibly the most embarrassing Prince song of all time. Grotesque.

Yes it is over the top, but that counts also for Prince as a person. And you know what? I like it alot!
