Five albums is half of my current collection, but here goes:

Purple Rain
Sign o' the Times
The Gold Experience
Dirty Mind
Parade

I sincerely hope that Black, 1999 and Lovesexy will be in there when I receive them in the near future. I do think osme of the choices have been a bit strange; long-term orgers might not listen to Purple Rain everyday but surely it should be in everyone's top Five?

I can't believe so many people love "Parade". I didn't like it when it was released and I still don't. But I guess Prince knew what he was doing with it if so many people love it.

Dirty Mind
Parade
SOTT
The Gold Experience
One Nite Alone

My honest opinion...don't hate. These are the ones that both at the same time, took Prince in a new direction and took me higher!

Emancipation, Symbol album, and the Crystal Ball compilation were all similar experiences to the above for me and took my appreciation of his genius to a new level, but slightly less so....

1999-- this album set him apart and was his coming of age.
Parade-- here's to inspiration, growth, Lisa and happiness
Purple Rain-- the mountain-top may not be what they say
but it sure sounds good.
TRC-- welcome back bro'. This album might be the best.
Chaos & Disorder-- something always brings me back here...
and her name is Zannalee.

Parade put prince up there with the Beatles
it was so creative, daring and fresh! If the
movie didn't flop it would have been noticed
as the masterpiece that it is!
"Life can be so nice" told me this Guy is a
Genious! Wendy & Lisa Would not be who they
are today without Parade.
