Billy Jack Bitch - live on the Sunday Show

I just saw this for the first time, and GOOD GUH-RAVY...back in '95 when the Gold Tour was going down it KILLED me that I couldn't see a show...and now it kills me even more. This performance is KILLER..his vocals are spot-on, he looks hot as shit, and I'm giggling at the cuteness that he and Mayte exude with their dancing...

I'd love to hear some thoughts from people who've either seen this video performance or were at the tour...
No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

You don't have the Glam Slam Miami performance, Andrew? He does the song on that too. He's rockin the cameltoe during the performance too! nod

I saw the show and it was good. Did you get to see the interview also? Prince did not answer any questions to the interviwer, he whispered to Mayte who answered for him. He also kept his face veiled and said it was because he was too ugly.

Seriously funny shit.
RIP sad

No, I've never seen the Glam Slam Miami performance...I've heard it, but never seen it. Aw man, you got me drippin', Phil! wink I think my boyfriend would dig his performances from that era...I'm trying to wean him onto Prince. He's been QUITE cool about it all so far, the beautiful thing.

I loved it when Prince and Mayte looked totally in love with each other...I still love watching that shit. It makes me feel good somehow.

Hope all's well witcho sexy azz, Phil!

They are some crazy moves Prince pulls out on that performance!
The gold outfit doesn't really work for me though...no no no!

As for the interview, it's kinda fun.
I'd def say u gotta get a boot of some of the Gold Experience shows, they are fantastic-the Japanese 96 ones have the best sound though.

my main memory is Tommy Barbarella being hoisted up into the air with a "I'm actually supposed to play the keyboards while flying like Peter Pan and trying to still look cool?" look on his face.

Another in the long line of Prince TV performances where he plays a non-single song - great for us fans, but terrible for the marketing people!

I love this performance. I have worn out the tape watching it. I love the final "BITCH!" shout when Prince runs right up to the camera with the gun mike. Like you blue, the NPG Hornz breakdown, with Prince and Mayte doing their funky little leg kicking dance is too cute.

I saw the show too, at Wembley Arena. The memory of the performance of Gold that night (the first time I had heard it)still gives me goosebumps.
Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

What always annoyed me about those performance's is that if you watch what Tommy's doing, he's not actually playing much at all ! Just holding down 1 or 2 keys, and triggering pre-recorded samples !!

KeithyT!! That's awesome that you got to see it at Wembley...wow. I can't even imagine. I'm getting shivers just thinking about it! wink

I wanna stand up right here in my cube at work and do that leg-kicking dance...should I?

I felt really sorry for Veronica Webb. She has a history of awkward interviewees - Just search Google for Veronica Webb Mary J. Blige...
