Jonathan Melvoin wrote Around The World In A Day? I'm listening to the [extended] unreleased demo for this
incredibly cool psychedelic trip of a song and all of a sudden remembered reading somewhere that in fact someone else wrote it. I think it was Jonathan Melvoin who came up with at least the music to this joint after being given some studiotime by Prince to toy around with some stuff. But I could have dreamed that  so does anyone know
for sure if in fact he wrote [some of] it and to what extent he was involved in the recording of the rest of the album or any other Prince tunes from that time? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

David Coleman was the main writer of the song with Prince's dad and Prince "Say papa I think I want to dance!" Shut up already...Damn | |

Well you were a little right, it was David Coleman who was given the studio time for his birthday one year from Prince. And David played cello on the album as well. | |

I believe it was Jon who wrote and performed all the weird percussion instruments and stuff??
