Local radio station plays part of Xenophobia celly bootleg. Had quite a shock, and surprise, when the local alternative radio station had on about 45 minutes of the Celebration bootleg, called, Xenophobia--or I think it was the name. There was no explanation, no commercial, nobody announced it--it was just playing, when I turned on the radio. What pissed me off, was I was away from my stereo, so I could not tape it. It was from the piano night, when he took the people to see Minority Report.
Had to be the greatest live gig I have ever heard. His falsetto was opera worthy, and he was really smoking on piano. His song selection was eclectic as fuck. An amazing version of Strollin. You guys who saw that are very lucky. Wonder why this bootleg is never talked about much. This wonderful kind of stuff should be praised. The only thing that bothered me, was the crowd seemed bored. You motherfuckers are too jaded.,..lol..,Yell, more. lol. Wonder if the rest of that celly was as good.. Shocking thought. Even better than Small Club. All you others say Hell Yea!!

I was front and center at that night's festivities and I think the reason why we weren't all that loud was the fact that it was roaring hot in Paisley Park that night!! We had watched Sheila E play for over an hour and the air conditioning had gone out! It was also one of the hottest nights that summer and the place was blazin'! After Sheila's set, the security made us all go outside while they cleaned off the floor because it was really wet. The humidity did that... anyways, it was a great show, albeit breif from Prince. He invited us all to the movie's in Chanhassen because it was well air-conditioned there.

I have a lot of the Xenophobia set and I also would like to know why it isn't discussed much. I enjoy it way more than Small Club.Had to be the greatest live gig I have ever heard. Oh, but they will be discussing it real soon, just wait. Sabotage are preparing the mother of all repackages for the Xenophobia Celly, superseding Premium's flaccid effort. This one is destined to be a real classic and well worth waiting for . . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

All orgnotes and emails requesting trades or how to acquire bootleggage will be ignored. - The ThreadKiller -

I think you hit the nail on the head. I don't know about everyone else, but, the heat totally beat me down. The music was awesome, but being so hot and uncomfortable that particular night was very distracting. Had the air conditioning been working properly I'm sure everyone would've been much more enthusiastic. Not only that, sometimes you have to remember that Prince puts you in awe and sometimes you just want to be quiet so that you don't miss anything. It is still a wonder to me why Prince hasn't capitalized on the greatness of the Xenophobia experience by officially releasing the material himself. I wish prince would release the soundbaords to this whole event to the public.I'd pay a mighty dollar for it.A collection of some of the most fun, electric, and breathtaking performances ever recorded live.It really is a wet dream for me!!I am still hungry for a soundboard, though! But this belongs with all the great live albums ever!!!I would dare any fan of music to not find alot here they would dig.
