Sign 'O' The Times - very dated, very 80's looking, but cool for it's time. in a way, a sign of the times in itself.

Controversy - just classic prince.

When Doves Cry (full version) - nuff said. the edited version cuts too much out though.

And the worst:

I Would Die 4 U - really crappy live performance on '84 world tour, screws with the song too much
Baby I'm A Star - continuation of same crappy live performance, goes for WAY too long

I'd add "Kiss" as one of his best, if not the best in terms of stylistic presentation and visuals. It's minimalist approach matched the minimalist funk... it was simple and artful at the same time.

Also add "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man" as among his best. Though it basically is an excerpt from the Sign of the Times movie, the rich peach color, the vivid visual style, and the storyline narrative acted out by Cat and co. on stage really worked well.

You forgot Automatic... that's probably his best
out of the '1999' vids.

The early vids like Uptown and Dirty Mind
are pretty cool too.

Oh, and there is a vid for If I Was Your Girlfriend...sort of.
It's just a complilation vid - containing a few shots from his previous videos.

You've got to be kidding. That "I Would Die 4 U/ Baby I'm A Star" video is one of the best, followed by "America". But those are performance clips and perhaps not true videos. I'd say the best is "I Wish U Heaven". Some of the worst are "Paisley Park", "Alphabet St", and "Automatic".

The 1999 and LRC videos are pretty damn good too even though they aren't anything special. The best Prince vids just show him performing without any dumb story,

funny in that. Shame that I only saw it two times but it
was such a hoot. Damn, it should have been released as a
