LG gets my vote. Tony M was just another band member etc etc LG is controlling P's life hence his worda and music. Like a voice that sits on his shoulder.

How happy was Prince during Lovesexy. He had found his own way with his own understanding of religion and that is all religion is, your OWN beliefs and faith. Lovesexy is the one 'till my day is done. Bah, I wish it was. This whole JW stuff is freakin me out.

Come back Prince, put your name back upon your thigh, be who YOU are. I miss you.

Hell yeah! nod

Who do think has been worse for Prince's career?

Well, one is a lame "rapper" who killed some cool songs and tried to make Prince more "street"...
The other is a talented bass player who poisoned Prince's mind with close-minded religious propaganda and other useless crap...

You do the math...

Neversin.
Are we assuming that Prince is some weakminded motherfucker whose mind could be poisoned? Doesn't the ultimate responsibility fall on himself?

The ultimate responsibility definitly falls on himself.

I think there is a weird kind of resemblance between fans of Prince and Prince being a fan of Larry Graham. Many fans would let Prince influence their minds, in fact many have been influenced by Prince, including spiritually. Looking from that point of view it is no surprise that Prince would in turn let himself be influenced by one of hos own heroes, including spiritually.

The only difference is that Prince used to be broadminded on spiritual issues and most fans have been influenced by him in that way. Larry on the other hand is closed minded on spiritual issues (there is only one truth and one God and that is Larry's). Once Prince adopts his views he goes straight against his own former "teachings"and therefore it is logical that many fans detest Larry's influence.

Not saying that it is justified to detest Larry for that, but logical it is, IMMHO.
See, that's what I'm talking about. Many of us have been influenced by Prince, good or bad but no one is trying to see that Prince himself could be influenced. While I feel that P has done a 180 from where he was even five years ago, I don't detest Larry for it.

I don't detest him for it either. I do wonder tho' if he and Prince understand where all the "bad blood"(no pun intended) comes from. It doesn't seem like it...
See, then you gotta assume that P gives a fuck about what we think.

I think he does give a fuck about what "we" think, but only to certain levels. I assume that after a while he is more interested in telling "us" what we should think, cuz as far as I can tell he is always been more or less like that, preaching etc., tho' since a couple of years more I would say.
You are not my "friend" because you threaten my security.

Rosie G ... she had a real bad impact.

How so?

I agree with everything else you said, when he started go really insular after PP opened and cut off his management and staff etc 88/89 that when things started to turn.

That's just my personal taste ... I dislike her voice and the tunes she's singing ... especially "nothing compares to u". But to me, she fucked up the D&P albums too.
Boni Boyer was always prefered by me!

I think Kirky J is worse.

This is absolutely right. When Prince started using his lacklustre beats and production techniques 1995-2001 thats when I really went off his sound.

He even felt that he could play the drums after Michael (There is No Equal) Bland.

HAHAHAHA

Without doubt Prince's worst musician workin in a major role.

That and the services of Kat Dyson.
