Who here remembers Prince on Solid Gold?

I missed it due to only being a fetus, but I'm sure some of you can remember catching him in his full-fledged 1999 tour glory. I did catch his performance (or was it a striptease hmm) of 1999 years later when VH1 ran some reruns of the show. I didn't see the one with the Little Red Corvette performance though. Who can recall those days of the flasy Solid Gold dancers in all their spandex glory, er, as well as Prince's performance?

Yeah, I saw it once only when I was about 7, very cool. From memory, it was just a lip synch performance but a great one

i have both of the solid gold appearances on tape, but i don't watch 'em very much. the lip-synching makes it pretty odd. nuts

My earliest Prince memory is the Solid Gold appearance. I was sitting on my mother's lap in the living room watching but not knowing who he was or how much he would influence me only a few years later.

Yeah, the lip-synching was hard to watch, and he couldn't dance around that much because the stage was too small.

I sawboth performances the day they were broadcast. I also have them on tape. Both are one of the best Prince performances that I ever saw on TV and I have seen them all on US TV.

Yep, I remember the day these were originally broadcast. We didn't get to see much of Prince back then, so it was very cool to see him on the show.
