Prince is actually #3 for me, just behind The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. However these 3 change positions in my top 3 all the time.

I would like to say John Lennon or Pink Floyd,
Recently it has been Prince for the summer and Led Zeppelin for the winter now it's becoming all Prince (maybe a little beck and neil young thrown in) Now I'm older than movies, Now I'm wiser than dreams, And I know who's there

Seeing as Prince is a tie with Picasso as my favorite artist I'd have to say either Stevie Wonder, Van Gogh, Ani Difranco or Jimi Hendrix would be at number 2. It's hard to choose. Nevertheless my number ones don't change.

What a great topc, and I love seeing the wide diversity of musicians that Orgers admire beside our new Hall of Famer. I have a long list of stuff to go back and listen to thanks to all of you.
My list: Dylan Springsteen Coltrane

Hmmm...
Tricky question. P is number 1 - absolutely no doubt. Number 2 - well I'm a bit stuck. I'll have to resist going for related artists like The Time or W&L. And no copouts like O+> either! So who then? Tori? Maybe. Queen? Perhaps. I adored The Boo Radleys, but then they bloody split up. Joni's been creeping into my heart lately. Ooh - Suzanne Vega - could be... Bloody hell this is difficult...No-one exites me like P does any more. No-one stands out like he does. I'll have to get back to you all in the morning!
