Where was this video taken?

I was watching VH1 classic all request tonight (actually,
it was a preview channel) and they played I Would Die 4 U/
Baby, I'm A Star (extended version).
At first glance, it looked like the Syracuse show, it featured Sheila E and her brother. But it wasn't, and
now I'm baffled.

This looked like an official WB release, but I've never
seen it. What show was this from?
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

They showed this quite a bit on MTV back when "I Would Die 4 U" was released. It was popular all the way into the summer of '85. Not sure what show it was -- had to have been at least Fall '84.

IIRC, it is from the show at the Omni in Atlanta, GA.

Anxiety

Yah, the Omni sounds right...I remember watching that dang video every night over the Christmas season of 1984 - it was before we even had a VCR, so I was in front of the TV every night at 6p.m. SHARP, and I would dance my ass off for the next 20 minutes just like Ricki Lake in Hairspray, ha...

Sorry to bring this up again, but this is the one with really out of tune back-up vocals? I've been wanting to know where this was from.

If I recall right, it was taken from one of the Washongton D.C shows in November of '84. I do distinctly remember MTV premiering it in December and showing it every three hours..watched the damned thing EVERY time!!!

Yo Johnny, I also caught thatlast night when it came on.
About jumped out of my seat and yelled "holy shit".

Didn't know what it was until I seen it.

Pretty cool to finally catch an old video playing.
