Prince/Sheena - Observer magazine UK Hi everyone,
In today's Observer Music Monthly magazine (a supplement which comes with The Observer newspaper) they've compiled 'The 10 Strangest Duets'. At Number 8, they've named Prince and Sheena Easton! (Pity they've got a Parade-era pic of Prince singing into a microphone with Wendy Melvoin - ) Anyway, here's what they say: "Sheena Easton, the product of a BBC star search, was an MOR success on both sides of the Atlantic before the louche Minnesotan funk genius wrote a fairly rude tune for her, 'Sugar Walls'. They went on to duet on Prince's 'U Got The Look' and the Batman soundtrack before Easton faded away to become one of pop's richest stars thanks to property deals". (For those who are interested, the Top 10 is as follows: 1. Eminem & Elton John 2. Pavarotti & Skunk Anansie 3. Madonna & Missy Elliott 4. Bing Crosby & David Bowie 5. Nick Cave & Kylie Minogue 6. Texas & The Wu-Tang Clan 7. Happy Mondays & Karl Denver 8. Prince & Sheena Easton 9. Metallica & The SAn Francisco Symphony Orchestra 10. The Smiths & Sandie Shaw There you have it; another pointless list/thread! | |

Hmm i think it was not a strange duet at all, Prince with Sadam Hussein singin 'Head' would have been somewhat odd tho.
