Can you tell me which one is better to get between the work box set and the testament cd-rom/or dvd?

How are the sound quality to both sets?
The reason why I ask this is because I have access to by both, so I wanna make sure I know the right one to get.

Also are all the songs the same on both sets?

Well, I can only speak 4 The Work and I would say that on the whole the sound quality is excellent.

But if you get The Work volumes you get stuff pretty much in its original form, taken from tape, CD, DAT, whatnot. With Testament 4CD-rom and Revelations DVD-rom sets you get them all in mp3 format, so its in crappier quality than what it was previous on. Now, I, personally, have both sets and enjoy them. Good ole Evolsidog put a lot of work into Testament with the cool HTML interface and extra songs he put up. Not to mention all the great info on each and everyone of the songs listed. The Work volumes do contain booklets, the only difference is that Testament/Revelations is a bit more interactive when it comes to music and information.

'The Work'contains mostly incomplete versions of much of the unreleased material that has been circulating for years. Another drawback of The Work is that it's definitely not one for completists.
This Thunderball series is fine for beginners and those with a passing interest in Prince's unreleased work.

But for those wanting to hear full-length versions of demos and outtakes in a more or less orderly fashion (and if you don't mind hearing too many gaps in between tracks) I highly recommend Testament, which is the most comprehensive compilation by far - even if it's a bunch of MP3 files cobbled together with, at times, no regard for chronology.

But Testament shades it for me.

So I love the Work Volume 1 and 2!

and that's another good one ... I dont want an alternate version of the ninety's grap, so 8 cd's is enough for me!!!

i have searched for The Work Box Set for many a year and cannot find it anywhere.

The version of 'Testament' that I have plays in chronological order. The sound quality is pretty damn good & it comes with plenty of info about the tracks. I was really impressed.

now that makes me want Testament!
I can understand that some songs get stolen / sneaked out / given freely to bootleggers, but how the hell do hundredsand hundreds of outtakes, alternate versions and unreleased songs get into the hands of these people???

So like, uhm, arre there any Dutch people who have this

Testament dvd yet??

Where are the interviews? Last time I read the tracklist, it included couple o' interviews.

Yeah, it does. They're listed in the tracklist as 1980 interview, 1981 interview, etc.

I think this tracklisting is for the DVD version. The weird thing about doing a DVD version is that most DVDs will play CD's containing MP3 files, so it was not that necessary.

The MP3 version has a program that plays the tracks choronologicaly by year and gives you info on every track. There's also stuff on there like Prince fonts, the Crystal Ball Lyric Book and Prince's Wedding Program!
