I liked Boni too, I guess she died from a brain aneurysm (had to look that word up, because I never know how to spell it). It's a damn shame that she had to die so young, she had a lot of talent. sad
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Wasn't Sheila E visiting her in hospital up until her death? Sure I read this somewhere.

That very well could be, since I know that Sheila and Boni were good friends. sad

False. I've checked a lot of Boni live when she was in the band, and her features are pretty inconsistent -- unlike Rosie, who consistently killed when called upon.

Her shining vocal moment, however, is the "Forever in My Life" break from the SOTT movie. For that alone, she'll be missed.

(Her best other contribution to PurpleWorld is during "Housequake" from the movie, there's a shot of her nailing "The Prep" or whatever we used to call that dance.)

i loved her too. still do. she totally rocks on the infamous 87/88 new years eve show w/miles davis when they do it's gonna be a beautiful night - when she takes the lead on chain of fools. just a very soulful and honest performance. whenever i think of or hear chain of fools i think of that performance. check it out. cue it back a couple times. looked like prince was lovin' it too.
