Have Any of You Prince Fans Ever Had This Happen to You?

Did you ever see or heard something that reminded you of a Prince song? I have had this happen to me a number of times. Today, for instance, I was at work, typing up a document. The last word in one of the sentences was "splash". Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I saw the word, the Prince song "Splash" starting going through my head. I could name a few other examples, but that's just one of them.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Everytime I hear the number 319, is start singing "take of your clothes 319,bet you got a body, my God come on let me see. Crazy yes, but I just smile while I'm singing it.
I'm just a junky for the sound.

The lift in my apartment block features a computerised female voice. When it announces 'Going Down!' I usually expect it to continue '... to Alphabet St'. Sad, but true!

Okay, I must be really lonely tonight bearing my soul and all but:

My father knew I was a big Prince fan and he passed away 16 years ago. However, when things aren't going right or I'm feeling really down and a Prince comes from nowhere, I feel like it's him telling me is going to be ok.

BTW: Most of my friends hate me because I can make reference a Prince song into every conversation.

Sad but true.

It's even better when you get your friends able to sing a Prince song...

a friend at work starts singing Pink Cashmere "falling in love all over" when the girl next to her says, "Here I go again.."

smile

I worked in a record store for ten years. I hear music in people's conversation. I hear a catch phrase and immediately I si9ng the song that features the same phrase. It's sick.
So, not only with Prince songs, with all kinds of music.

It's common. My friends just let me. Realise it yourself and you can cut it back.

He's coming through to us all methinks psychodeli. So many times in conversation a prince lyric is relevant to what I am talking about. If I use his lyric, I always try to cite him. The Red Hot Chil(l)is are backing him up as well.

I like your handle. Imagine JIR as a video or short film. Wouldn't that be awesome?

Weird! Just an hour ago I was waiting for the train when I saw the sign for the "Waiting Room". I had a lil' chukkle to myself because the first thing that came to my head was the track with Prince and No Doubt. Cool.
