Did Prince seriously have nothing to do with Miles Davis' Amandla??? I haven't listened to much of Miles' '80s work, but after finding Aura recently and thinking it sounded a lot like Xpectation, I just picked up Amandla. This sounds a lot like Madhouse's 24 from 1988 (tracks of which Prince offered to Miles at the time).
Amandla was released in May 1989 - six months after Prince recorded Madhouse's 24. Someone tell me he had nothing to do with this album. If nothing else, highly influenced by the tracks Prince had offered. Of course, I haven't heard much of Miles' other '80s work - was Madhouse simply a copy of Miles' '80s stuff. Discuss... | |
