prince is trying to STRETCH musically on news. he wants u 2 listen 2 the music not 2 words, thus the lack of singing. I think he is trying 2 make the point that he is an amazing and influential musician and not just a pop icon. Prince, if you read this, the point is well taken. If I ever see news performed live I will be happy to hear it performed "FREE", like the aftershows. News is music in evolution and it should live just like that. If you want pop and lyrics Prince gave you plenty of that and I think that the upcoming album with Musicology will have plenty of that 4 ya face!! Have you heard the albums "Xpectation" and "C-Note" Prince
released through the npgmc last year? Those were both instrumental albums as well. He's been on this experimentational trip for a while now and N.E.W.S is the first instrumental album that was offered to the general public. Despite the fact that you could have known about this, I can somehow see your point tho. I wondered about that when I saw N.E.W.S in the stores. What about the people that don't visit the org or any of the other Prince sites. There's no info on the album that says it's all instrumental tracks, since it's wrapped in clingfilm without titles or anything showing on the back. Still. Try to get past the initial disappointment and give the album another go in a little while. That usually does the trick. Just pop it into your computer whilst your doin some work and you'll find that it's actually a fucking gr8 album. Heck, I think you'll even start to hunt down copies of the other [Xpectation/C-Note] albums after that. Just give it a chance. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

It means you are limited in your scope and not open to other possibilities. Jazz, classical and other types of music would fall under this category and to say you don't like any of it is very closed-minded. The same thing goes for those who only like jazz, funk, or rock. |

I was hopeing for some kinda extra stuff on the cd sence it only had 4 Long!!! 14 to 15 min!!! song's without word's...I pop it in my pc & it bring's my microflash up for some reason,so i thouth there was something extra because that aint my player for my cd's...Just very disapointed..bye Who the hell still pays $17 for a CD?
