DaDaDa

I just wanted to share with y'all that I was just listening to Dadadada of the emancipation album, and...I LOVE IT.
Ok, the beginning isn't really my thing, but after you've made it through (S)crap D's rap it's tha bomb.
Any of y'all feel the same?

Yeah, this song really grew on me (like a fungus)...it's yet another example of Prince's bad taste in guest rappers, but above and beyond that, I like the way the song flows.

I like the song when Prince starts his verse (i like his voice on it, don't know why it sounds particularly good) also the musical end which reminds me a little of the SOTT end...

I just put this song on to listen, and my kids are yelling "turn it off! turn it off!" they thought I was going to put Prince on for them, and they know this is not him! (now the rap is finished and we are all happy).

I like it. I like Mr. Happy more but can live without PoomPoom. The rapper on DaDaDa is better than Tony M. Neither is any good but c'mon, Tony M is embarassing to the point you can't listen to him in public without getting laughed at. Actually, I guess the same applies to this guy too. Still, Tony M is the worst thing to ever happen to music.

I'm not a big Tony M fan but DAMN the original version of the Flow was funky beyond belief.

Not too crazy about Mr. Happy, it's okay.

Poom Poom is great just because it's funny.

Da Da Da, like others have said, is really great once Prince starts singing and more of the funky instrumentation is spotlighted. Although the rap itself isn't all that bad imo, it's not something I expect from on a Prince album!

I like this song - but especially Prince's bit. The lyrics are great, and fit with the song in the sense that you've got the angry rap about how crap this guys life is in 'da ghetto' followed by this peaceful advice:

Ask yourself your destination
What the source of your inspiration be
And U will find a spirit tryin' 2 get back 2 the mind
How U was in your mama's belly
Live and let live was the order of the day
What U say?
Loving one another is the only way!

Don't like this song. For some reason,I don't really like any of the hip-hop-inspired songs on this album ("Mr Happy","Face Down",etc).

"Ask yourself your destination

This line must be pretty important to Prince, it's written into the carpet in the upstairs hallway at Paisley Park. It's a great line lost in a bad song.
