Rebirth Of The Flesh.. Holding out

Looking back when Prince released as a download the Rebirth of the flesh rehersal, I think he must be holding the studio version out for a release in the future.. because how could he choose that version of the orig? That rehersal version is not good at all..

I dunno...this recording never really jumped out at me. I think there are a lot of interesting moments in it, but it never gave me that hair-on-end rush that some of his other unreleased stuff gives.

I really dug (Studio version) the haunting vocals that kindof layer in the background (He is humming, not sayin anything.. its very low).. it sounds like a sound that Nine Inch Nails did on downward spiral.. I really like the studio techniques he used at the time..

Maybe he feels the same way about ROTF Studio version as he does about Days Of Wild studio version?

i love the DAYS O' WILD studio version. the only live version that comes close is the one from the GOLD tour. that one had a funky wrrrRRR frog like sound.

Trent Reznor has mentioned that he is influenced a lot by Prince, particularly on Pretty Hate Machine.

I know, that's what I thought too. I said to myself: "Oh
well, here's proof again that he doesn't use the real
gems for this internet toe-dipping".
