Out here in L.A., They are always playing "I wanna be your Lover" on classic radio. Always hear it when im sitting in my cubicle at work. I make it a point to make my co-workers stand at attention when it comes on. I will get then in check one day.

I was shopping in Camden with my fella and i heared about 3 prince songs coming from diffrent stalls and shops.
Popped into one funky shop and they had 7 on full blast and the video was on the screens. Made me feel very happy and esp seeing people watching the screens and singing along. Very cool This love is a private affair

Pussy Control is played quite often in some of the bars. Also, a couple of local bands here in Dallas, do medley's of some of his songs and associated artists. For the most part the crowd seems to dig it. I know I do anytime I hear a Prince song in public. Where u wanna eat 2nite, baby? I know this dope spot called one another!

Actually, I was in Guitar Center last month and they played the whole Purple Rain album. There were people trying out guitars who were trying to play various parts to it, solos and all. One guy near me exclaimed "Man, that is still the coldest album ever." Commercially, I sort of agree, but I understood his point. Overall, it was cool seeing people's heads bobbing all over the store.

...for you non-B&Q-aware folk, they're a home improvement chain. ...sheeks! ... i heard Kiss in B&Q recently but it was the full on 12 inch version!! I'd never heard it before so i had to stand in the door knob section next to one of the speakers until it finished. Was amazed they played that version...

I can't remember the last time but two years ago at Meijer(not to long after 9/11), they played songs that were either patortic or just mentioned America or freedom. They played Prince's "America" which is kind of odd considering. They also played "Keep On Rockin' In the Free World" at least once and that one dance song by Rozolla (or something like that) called "Everybody's Free". I had a good laugh over that, with one girl joking that she used to dance to the song in a club in Italy. Nothing more pro-American then Euro-disco.

I used to work at Katies (Australian dress shop) and they had "Theives in the Temple" as part of the standard 30-song loop. I only lasted 5 weeks but I heard that song countless times - now I always skip it on GB.
Plus they play Rasberry Beret, Little Red Corvette and When Doves Cry constantly on 97.3 (Brisbane radio station).
